Loved the video. Um... can't believe you ate mussels from a lake in Algonquin. Gutsy. You clearly survived it so bravo.

What a great video! Reminded me of the years I spent at Keji Park in N.S. camping and canoeing...brought back great memories. Algonquin Park looks like an amazing place. Thanks for sharing this.

Yeah, we did sample the mussels on the beach at Big Crow and also on Hogan Lake. We didn't manage to cook them very well in our tiny little pots but we gave it a go. We're also quite sure we saw bear prints on the beach but not an actual bear!

Glad you enjoyed the video

Hey, super video.,just luved it. My two boys and myself spent a week big crow, little crow and opeongo back in june, no fish then either.. Gotta be there to catch the trout just after ice out before they fill up on mosquitoes and black flies. lol So I'm curious, I seen a mess of clams on the beach at big crow but never bothered with them. wasn't by chance the same site? There was a birch bark note tacked to a tree about a bear siting that I'm sure was just the cow moose and her calf that came down to the water. Hey, thanks for posting the video, I know the two boys will enjoy it too
