08 Sep Fresh from a Canadian Filmmaking Summer
A quick update to say filming was a success over the summer and now we are deep into the story crafting, post-production side of things.
Before I went I had vivid thoughts of giant, oversized Canadian mosquitoes and black fly – turns out they were all all true. The flies were brutal! And when I was tired and hungry, wet and cold the bugs were that extra little thing that nearly sent me over the edge. It was without doubt the hardest thing I’ve tried to film. Quebec is rainy and cameras really don’t like water. It was a challenge to try and keep up with the pace and constant movement of a trip like that too but I’ve been pleased to review the footage and see that magic was caught on camera.
I’m really excited to tell this story. Find out more on the ‘Wood On Water‘ film page.
