Brown Vulva Huntress Greeting Card greeting card designed by Hannah Maia. A retake of a medieval pilgrim pin made in gouache collage. The ‘Vulva Huntress’ is a design based on Medieval Pilgrim Pins dating to the 1400’s. Carnivalesque erotic badges were a twist on religious insignias and have been found across Europe. Many can be found on display in historical museums in The Netherlands. A good friend gave me a Vulva Huntress pin when I was having a difficult time and it made me feel so strong emotional and inspired all at the same time. The very next day I was sticking gouache paper together to make this design. I have a pink and brown version.
