A poetic fell running film inspired by Joss Naylor. Touching the Water is a short film about Mhari’s 100 mile run following the Lakes, Mere’s & Water’s route around the lake District, inspired by her hero, Joss Naylor. Mhari’s main request for this film was that it be shot during her actual attempt at running the route rather than recreated.  This led to some serious logistical challenges over the 39 hours it took to run the route (especially with a breast feeding baby in tow) and the weeks of planning before hand, but it led to wonderfully realistic and in the moment footage. We chose to really showcase Mhari’s beautiful voice in our post production too.

The film has been screened a numerous film festivals including Kendal Mountain Film Festival 2021, KMF USA Tour and No Man’s Land Film Festival. It won an award for Best Sound at Sheffield Adventure Film Festival 2022.
